The university provides students with practical skills and training needed for the Ecuadorian labor market. The UDLA campus in Quito serves more than 9,000 students.

Universidad de Las Américas students earn undergraduate, technical/vocational, and graduate degrees in Architecture, Business Administration and Economics, Communications, Engineering and Agricultural Sciences, Gastronomy, Health Sciences, Hotel Management and Tourism, Law, Medicine, and Social Sciences.

Among the university’s most notable programs are its offerings in medicine, its M.B.A. dual-degree program with the Institute for Executive Development, and its master’s in Intellectual Property in partnership with the World Intellectual Property Organization (the first of its kind in South America).

Universidad de Las Américas is accredited by the National Council of Higher Education and the National Council of Evaluation and Accreditation of Higher Education.

UDLA operates preschool centers and hospitals in socio-economically disadvantaged areas, provides support for youth foundation Un Techo para mi País–Ecuador, is recognized by the federal government for best practices in hiring the disabled, and operates Real Madrid UDLA Ecuador social and sports academy to help children with cancer.
