In the 2010-11 winter semester, BiTS launched its study abroad program for international students who want to spend a semester at their campus in Iserlohn, Germany.

The university had the great pleasure of welcoming its first group of 12 international students from Laureate partner universities from Malaysia, Turkey, Peru, Spain and France.

The students chose English taught courses from different bachelor programs, such as International Management for Service Industries, Sports and Event Management, Business and Management Studies, Communication and Media Management as well as Journalism and Media Management. They also took part in many of the extracurricular activities and became involved in various student projects. The general feedback was overwhelmingly positive and the atmosphere among international and German students was characterized by mutual interest, intercultural communication and the lively exchange of experiences.

The positive experience as well as the familiar environment at BiTS motivated three of the students to extend their stay for a second semester at BiTS. BiTS is now already looking forward to the coming summer semester and to receiving the second very international group of study abroad students.
