Students earn diplomas, associate, and undergraduate business degrees in International Hotel and Resort Management and in International Event Management. Students can also earn a Postgraduate Certificate or a Master's in International Hotel Management.

International hotel and resort management is a specialty of the institution, which holds full national and state accreditation from the Department of Education, Employment and Workplace Relations (National level) and the New South Wales Department of Education & Training (State level). BMIHMS is internationally accredited by the Institute of Hospitality and has a strategic partnership agreement with the University of Queensland.

BMIHMS degrees are accredited by the Tertiary Education Quality and Standards Agency, TEQSA (Australian National level), in compliance with the Education Services for Overseas Students (ESOS) legislative framework, which ensures the quality of the tuition and care of international students.

BMIHMS has recently been recognized and commended by the Australian Universities Quality Agency (AUQA), as providing a high standard of university-level education.  

BMIHMS is a member of the Tourism and Hospitality Education International Centre for Excellence and the Australian Association of Hotel Schools. BMIHMS is also a member of the Association of Commonwealth Universities.
